The Mental Health Parity Act ensures equal coverage for both mental health services and substance use disorder counseling. To make this information accessible to individuals across the state, this session will be held virtually.
This info session will also emphasize how young adults and college students can advocate for themselves and their families in ensuring that insurance companies and healthcare providers adhere to the relevant policies. It will also highlight the importance of following best practices for coverage, as well as ensuring lawful and ethical service delivery. This is particularly timely as open enrollment for 2025 insurance plans is now underway.
